F&N Sparkling Drinks- Win Far East Movement Concert Tickets
Who are they?
The Far*East Movement (FM) was formed by emcees: Kev Nish (Kevin Nishimura), Prohgress (James Roh), and J-Splif (Jae Choung). The three childhood friends found their love for music fresh out of high school and created recognition for the group in the Los Angeles underground scene through energetic live shows and a strong Internet presence. They are an influential group in the rising Asian American music scene.
How they were discovered?
In 2003, FM produced their own large-scale hip hop show in Koreatown called “Movementality”, to benefit a local drug rehabilitation center.
Through this event, they were discovered by international club/ events promoter, Carl Choi, who shared the vision of strengthening the identity of Asian Americans in the entertainment industy, helping the Far*East Movement achieve global notoriety.
The group released their first mixtape, the “AudioBio” in 2005, distributing over 20,000 copies independently. The compilation, which is an introduction into the world of the FM, includes guest appearances from artists such as DJ Honda and Jin the Emcee. The “Audio Bio” opened the door for FM into television media, gaining them features on the Si TV Network, the AZN TV Network, UPN, and the show ‘Crime Scene Investigation’ (C.S.I.). In the summer of 2005 the trio embarked on their first world tour, performing in cities such as Seattle, Houston, San Francisco, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Singapore.
At the present time, The Far*East Movement continues on its rigorous show schedule while also adding the finishing touches to their debut album, which is slated for release in the first quarter of 2006.

In conjunction with the return of Singapore Dance Delight Vol 2., F&N Sparkling Drinks wants you to join us in our quest to celebrate all things youth and dance. Have a knack for blogging, picture-taking or video blogging? Take part in the F&N Spread the Groove Challenge. This year contestants are challenged to capture the best blog stories at Singapore Dance Delight and to be the best person who can ‘Spread the Groove’ on their social networks.
Part 1: Registration
- We invite you to join the F&N Spread the Groove Challenge!
- To take part, you have to:
o Tell us also how many friends you have on your networks (these must include: Foursquare, Twitter, Facebook, monthly average blog readers. If you use other social network platforms, you are welcome to include those in too, although it is not mandatory.)

What the Judges will take into consideration:

- Contestants will be given a set of events and activities surrounding F&N Sparkling Drinks and Singapore Dance Delight Vol. 2. The quantity and quality in the coverage will be taken into consideration
- Depth of coverage, unique angles when you cover your assigned Singapore Dance Delight Vol. 2 dance teams – how well their personality, aspirations, and quirks come through.
- Judges will take into consideration the traffic your blog drives to F&N Sparkling Drink’s Facebook Page, extra brownie points if you get your Facebook Friends to join the F&N Sparkling Drinks Facebook Page. How this will be tracked:
o Your photo will be uploaded on F&N Sparkling Drinks’ Facebook page and you will need to get as many likes as possible. Your number of likes will help determine how good you are at using social media to Spread the Groove.
- The depth of engagement with our F&N Sparkling Drinks Facebook Page community – i.e. likes, comments, sharing of information, tag back to the F&N Facebook Page
- Frequency of tweets using #fnnfun and #SDD2
- The number of retweets
- Quality of tweets – one liners versus tweets that share information
- Direct your followers to follow @FnNFun
Foursquare
- Quality and Quantity of contribution of F&N Sparkling Drinks or dance related content to the FourSquare community.
